Packing

In our treehouse we are very busy packing, cleaning, and celebrating a birthday.  Our emotions are running high as we get ready to go to Colombia to take my precious siblings, Yerlys, Juan, and Jose to their new home.  We are very busy.

Here is our itinerary: We wake up at like 4:00 Sunday morning to get ready (I think that’s the earliest I’ve ever woken up before) and make our last minute checks around the house and leave for Rochester Airport about 6:00.  From Rochester we go to Chicago, from Chicago to Miami, and from Miami to Bogota, Colombia late at night.  We stay in Bogota Sunday and Monday night and leave for hot Monteria on Tuesday (I can wear shorts but my dad can’t.  He has to wear pants.  He’ll be like a boiling microwave.  By the way, have you ever seen one of those?).  Wednesday is the blessed day that we finally get to meet my siblings!

Today is my mom’s birthday.  My cousin Abby, my dad, and I took my mom to our favorite Italian restaurant, Olive Garden.  Tomorrow we are going to our favorite ice cream place, Flapdoodles.  We are working hard today so that we can rest some tomorrow before our life changes.

We are grateful for your prayers and we would be grateful for your prayers now as we travel to Colombia.  Adíos!

  2. Hi everyone! Josiah here! We're in Chicago right now. I'll try to connect this way when we get somewhere. I'll try to make a blog post tonight. Adios!
